About The Club

West Ham United Football Club, commonly known as West Ham, is a professional football club based in Stratford, East London, England. They compete in the Premier League, the top tier of English football. Founded in 1895 as Thames Ironworks FC, the club was later renamed West Ham United in 1900.
 

The club has a storied history and has won several major domestic and international honors. They have won the FA Cup three times (in 1964, 1975, and 1980) and the European Cup Winners' Cup once, in 1965, becoming the first English club to win a major European trophy. Their most recent success came in the 2022/23 season after they beat ACF Fiorentina 2-1 in the UEFA Conference League final in Prague.

The London Stadium is the home ground of West Ham United Football Club, a Premier League team. West Ham moved to the stadium in 2016 after leaving their previous home ground, the Boleyn Ground (Upton Park).

Originally constructed for the 2012 Summer Olympics and Paralympics, the London Stadium has since been converted into a multipurpose venue for various sporting and entertainment events. It underwent significant renovations to adapt it for football and other activities.

The London Stadium is easily accessible by public transportation, including trains, buses, and the London Underground. Stratford station, one of London's major transportation hubs, is within walking distance of the stadium.

The stadium has a seating capacity of approximately 66,000 spectators for football matches, making it one of the largest stadiums in the United Kingdom.
