About The Club

Manchester City Football Club, commonly known as Manchester City or simply City, is a professional football club based in Manchester, England.

Manchester City was founded in 1880 as St. Mark's (West Gorton), before later becoming Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887, and finally Manchester City in 1894. The club has a long and storied history, with periods of both success and struggle. They have won the English First Division/Premier League title multiple times, most notably in recent years, and have also won the FA Cup multiple times and the UEFA Champions League once.

Manchester City has enjoyed a period of remarkable success in recent years, particularly under the management of Pep Guardiola. They have won multiple Premier League titles, domestic cups, and have consistently competed at the highest level in European competitions.


Manchester City Football Club is owned by the City Football Group (CFG). The City Football Group is a multinational football organization that owns or has stakes in several football clubs around the world. The group's majority owner is the Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), a private investment company owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the Abu Dhabi royal family and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. ADUG acquired Manchester City in 2008, and since then, the club has experienced significant investment and success under their ownership.

Etihad Stadium

The Etihad Stadium is a prominent football stadium located in Manchester, England. It is situated in the Etihad Campus in East Manchester, just a short distance from Manchester city centre. The stadium is easily accessible by public transportation, including buses and trams. It's also close to the Etihad Campus Metrolink tram stop, making it convenient for fans to reach the stadium.

The stadium was originally built for the 2002 Commonwealth Games and was known as the City of Manchester Stadium. It was later converted into a football stadium to become the home of Manchester City FC.

The stadium has a seating capacity of around 53, 400 spectators for football matches, making it one of the largest stadiums in the United Kingdom. Visiting Premier League clubs can expect to receive up to 3,000 tickets for their clubs supporters.

Manchester City had an expansion request approved in July 2023 which will see the Etihad Stadium having a capacity of around 62,000.

MOVING FURTHER AWAY FROM THE GROUND, THIS OPTION IS 2KM AND THERE ARE A NUMBER OF CAR PARKS ALONG THIS ROAD VARYING IN PRICE FROM £4-£6. IT WILL TAKE YOU 15 MINUTES TO WALK TO THE STADIUM FROM THIS LOCATION AT M12 5DE.

ASHTON MOSS PARK & RIDE

THIS IS A GOOD OPTION FOR AWAY FANS AS YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR CAR AND TRAVEL ON 25 MINUTES ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT. THIS OPTION WILL HELP YOU AVOID MATCHDAY TRAFFIC BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME. THE PriCE FOr THIS IS £2.70 PER ADULT AND £1.20 PER CHILD. oL6 7UB IS THE POSTAL ADDRESS FOR THIS PARK & RIDE.

THIS STOP IS THE CLOSEST TO THE ETIHAD STADIUM WITH IT BEING A 15 MINUTE WALK FROM THE GROUND. TRAINS HERE ARE SERVED BY MANCHESTER PICCADILLY WHICH IS ASLO ANOTHER OPTION.

MANCHESTER PICCADILLY

THIS STATION IS THE MAIN STOP IN MANCHESTER, IT IS A 25 MINUTE WALK AWAY FROM THE GROUND. IF YOU DON'T WANT THE HASSLE TO CHANGE AT PICCADILLY TO THEN GO TO ASHBURY'S YOU CAN TAKE THE 25 MINUTE WALK. ALTERNATIVELY TO WALKING, THERE IS ALSO A TRAM STOP IN MANCHESTER PICCADILLY WHIHC YOU CAN GET ON AND WILL TAKE YOU TO THE STOP ' ETIHAD CAMPUS' WHICH IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE STDADIUM. BE AWARE THE TRAMS ARE USUALLY RAMMED ON A MATCHDAY.
