About The Club

Liverpool Football Club is a professional football club based in Liverpool, England.

Liverpool FC was founded in 1892 following a dispute between the Everton committee and John Houlding, the club president and owner of Anfield stadium. The club has a rich and storied history, with numerous domestic and international honors. They have won the English First Division (now Premier League) 19 times, the FA Cup seven times, the League Cup eight times, and the UEFA Champions League six times, among other trophies.

Liverpool has been one of the most successful clubs in English and European football in recent years. Under the management of Jürgen Klopp, they won the Premier League title in the 2019-2020 season, ending a 30-year drought. They have also been consistent contenders in European competitions, winning the UEFA Champions League in 2019 and reaching the final again in 2018 and 2022.

Liverpool FC is owned by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), an American sports investment company. FSG acquired the club in 2010 and has overseen a period of significant investment and success. Jürgen Klopp is the current manager of the club, having taken charge in 2015.

florence melly community primary school

this option is only a 10-15 minute walk away from the stadium as it is 1.6km away. this parking option will cost you £10 for your stay and revenue made from the car park is shared with the school so there is an insentive to use this car park. the post code is l4 9ua.

goodison car park

although this car park is situated at goodison park, it is only 1,1km from anfield too.it also only costs £10 for your stay. l4 4el is the postcode.

priory road

based within stanley park, this parking option will only cost you £8 and is 1km away from the stadium. to find this car park, the postcode is l4 2sl.

by train

There are two standout options for train stations that are both within walking distance of the ground.

kirkdale station

Despite this station being the closest, it is suggested that you get off at sandhill stations. this station is just under a mile away from the stadium.

Sandhill stations

this station is considered the best option for visiting anfield as the trains come via liverpool central station. although you will be getting off at sandhill stations, away fans should buy a ticket to anfield as they will also get access to the soccerbus and it works out cheaper.
