About The Club

Newcastle United Football Club, commonly known as Newcastle United or simply Newcastle, is a professional football club based in Newcastle upon Tyne, England.

Newcastle United was founded in 1892 after the merger of two local clubs, Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End. The club has a rich and storied history, having won the English First Division (now Premier League) four times and the FA Cup six times. They also have a strong European pedigree, having competed in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

Newcastle United is owned by Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), which completed its takeover of the club in 2021. The new ownership has brought renewed optimism among supporters, with hopes for investment in the squad and infrastructure.
